Nature Play

We introduce our 2 1/2 to 4 year olds to an outdoor nature play provision. The Term Forest School originated from Denmark in the 1980’s to offer young children opportunities to develop self-esteem, confidence and independence in a relaxed, outside environment.
Children at Bumble Bee’s will have the opportunity to experience weekly nature sessions in the local woodland based on the recreational grounds adjacent from the nursery.
In these sessions they will be encouraged to:
- Explore the natural environment, using all their senses.
- Take risks in a hazard free environment.
- Partake in individualised learning including using their own styles and schemas.
- Develop positive attitudes and self-esteem.
- Become more independent and confident.
Activities will include a range of looking, exploring, collecting, building, using tools, and making things, we will work together as a group and individually.
